Beginning with a new therapist can be daunting. Please contact me if you have questions about how we can work together. Below are answers to a few basic questions you may have.
How do I get started?
A phone call is a great place to start. We’ll discuss your needs and decide on a time to meet. If I can’t meet your needs, I’ll help you find appropriate resources with my large network of colleagues.
What about fees?
My fees are comparable to other experienced Psychotherapists in the area. Please call me to discuss. I have a few sliding-scale appointments available but do not currently accept any insurance. However, I am happy to give you a bill which you can submit for reimbursement. Please contact your insurance company first to understand their coverage for mental health services. I accept check, cash, credit cards (plus transaction fee) and Paypal at the time of service.
How often will we meet?
Generally, we meet once a week for 50 minutes. Therapy frequency is important and we can discuss this at our first meeting.
What if I need to cancel?
I have a cancellation policy which requires 24 business hours advance notice for cancellation. If we can reschedule in the same week, there will be no charge. Otherwise, payment is expected in full.
